Reporting course on human trafficking, slavery open

Print, broadcast and online journalists worldwide can apply for fellowships to attend a course in London.

TrustMedia, a Thomson Reuters Foundation service, offers a reporting course about human trafficking and slavery on Nov. 16 to 20. The course will run in conjunction with the Trust Women conference Nov. 17 and 18.

Applicants must be working as journalists or regular contributors to print, broadcast or online media organizations. They must have at least two years of professional experience and a good level in spoken and written English.

All of the course participants will receive free admission to Trust Women Day Two for exclusive networking, reporting and interview opportunities with modern-day slavery and trafficking experts.

Full bursaries are available for journalists from the developing world or countries in political transition working for organizations with no resources for training. Bursaries include air travel, accommodation and a modest living allowance.

The application deadline is Sept. 21.
